"Severe back pain & scoliosis ended my dance career. Everything I tried after that made it worse, until I found yoga


From the age of 7 to 22 I was a dancer. I graduated at primary ballet school and then I went to a street dance school. I traveled a lot with the dance group and trained for competitions, events and exhibitions, which I loved but the dance moves caused severe pain in my lumbar spine. I visited a doctor and he told me I have scoliosis and my muscles are unbalanced

.

At 22 I was forced to stop dancing and find something more healthy for my body. It was hard. Everything I tried made me feel equally bad

.

The last idea was yoga. “Yoga? I’ll try it, what can I lose”

.


The first time I went to a yoga class, I didn't expect anything. After the first class I was really, really surprised... I felt something so different, spiritual, magical and new for me. It's so hard to put into words

.


Slowly I found out more about it and I've started to practice yoga everyday. After one year of practising I no longer have any pain in my back and my doctor couldn't believe that my scoliosis had healed. I believe yoga is real magic! 😊

Yoga definitely changed my life. Its opened my eyes and I’ve found myself balance, strength, peace, happiness like never before... and I have met so many amazing inspiring people teaching, training and even here in this community"
