About the partnership
- 01
Who it supports
Our partnership with Marsh Zhinok supports women affected by war, including internally displaced women, mothers, families and women living in remote frontline communities. The initiative focuses on women facing displacement, psychological distress, economic hardship and limited access to essential supplies, combining psychosocial support with practical humanitarian assistance.
- 02
Who delivers it
The partnership brings together Fierce Calm's Ukrainian therapeutic team and Marsh Zhinok, a Ukrainian feminist organisation supporting women's rights and wellbeing. Psychosocial sessions were led by Yuliya Denysova, Fierce Calm's Ukrainian program lead, while humanitarian assistance was coordinated with Ukrainian community partners and international supporters, including Clean the World.
- 03
What it aims to support
The partnership aims to strengthen women's psychological wellbeing, dignity, resilience and sense of security during war. By combining trauma-informed psychosocial activities with practical assistance, it seeks to reduce everyday pressures, support emotional recovery and help women facing displacement and hardship access essential clothing and hygiene supplies.
- 04
What it involves
Fierce Calm delivered trauma-informed yoga and wellbeing sessions at Marsh Zhinok's women's community hub in Lviv, supporting stress reduction, self-regulation and social connection. These sessions have concluded. With partners and supporters, the collaboration also provided 500 winter coats for internally displaced women, 4,000 general hygiene packs supplied by Clean the World, and £8,000 worth of women's personal sanitary products distributed in remote frontline communities.
- 05
Partners involved
The program was developed with Marsh Zhinok (Women's March), a Ukrainian feminist initiative supporting women's rights, protection and wellbeing through community hubs, humanitarian assistance and advocacy. Fierce Calm contributed therapeutic expertise, fundraising and humanitarian support alongside Marsh Zhinok's community networks. Clean the World supplied 4,000 hygiene packs.
