Meet @_angelaellen sharing her #yogasavedmylife story with us. These are her words ๐Ÿ’š

"I discovered yoga at a really dark place in my life. I was coming out of a mentally abusive relationship & a lifestyle that was consumed with alcohol & drugs. With all the trauma that came from that relationship was a pretty harsh reality: I was diagnosed with endometriosis and fibromyalgia" . "I truly thought that my life was over. I was in constant pain everyday, fighting for a way to normalize my new life. Constant visits to the doctors office and emergency hospital...I was told that the pain was ALL in my head. That the pain I feel isnโ€™t real. That pain was something normal & thatโ€™s just how it is to be human. I was even told that I may not be able to do things other people could do. But with yoga in my life I was able to find a better solution for my pain management . Whenever I do yoga, all the pain goes away (for a moment) and Iโ€™m focused on my practice and my goals. I gave up on our general health care system and seeked help somewhere else. Somewhere that didnโ€™t send me to the pharmacy to suppress my pain, a place that would help me find the root of what was going on . Today I am seeing naturopathic doctor with hopes of finding a way through natural remedies to manage my pain. Although Iโ€™m not cured, yoga helped guide me down a different path & through my struggles has always been there for me. Yoga made me feel alive again and most importantly yoga saved my life" .
