"Yoga really did save my life. And now gives me a routine, keeps me calm, healthy, balanced & positive through this current situation. It's my safe space" .
.
Meet French Yogini Charline @yogatravelcha sharing her #yogasavedmylife story with us. These are her words ๐
.
. "My story begins when I had a internal hemorrhage two months after a surgery. The hematologist diagnosed a bad blood coagulation system and I lost a lot of blood
.
.
In my daily life, I can bleed sometimes inside my muscles or my joints. One year after I escaped death at the hospital, about 5 years ago, I had a hemiplegia in my whole right side during one hour, like a stroke, my mouth slipped down one side of my face, I couldnโt speak at all and my right side didnโt work. The most critical hour of my life
.
Over the weeks I felt pain in my whole body & in my legs in particular. I had to walk with the help of crutches. So I saw an osteopath but she said she couldnโt do anything for me and suggested to see the man next door. He was an old yogi who seemed to know everything about life, about body mechanism and about traditional therapeutic yoga
.
And so I started my heal journey with him and, let me say, after 2 months of yoga practice, I was another woman !
.
I said bye to my crutches and, while I still felt pain in my whole body I felt stable. A Few month after I start yoga, I was diagnosed fibromyalgia... I known my everyday life would be harder than before but I continued to practice yoga when it was possible
.
Today I still live with chronic illness but it doesn't define me...And now I am a yoga teacher! And as we go through this situation around the world, I won't let that define me either. I have my mat. My safe space ๐
