Meet @popeloveyoga sharing her #yogasavedmylife story with us. These are her words ๐Ÿ’š

"As I child I grew up in a strict Christian family, with rules and a negative mind-set . As a teenager I worked in my mum's clothing boutique. Everything I tried to do in the shop was never good enough for her. Until I left university, I grew up listening to my mum saying I was not good enough"

.

"I left university and came to UK to further my education. I then travelled, worked and studied extremely hard, to prove to my family, especially my mum, that I was good enough. Until I got exhausted and ill. I remember crying a lot on my own almost everyday

.

Five years ago, a friend of mine told me that I was addicted to this busy life and I was trying to escape from a trauma. She also advised me to try yoga to slow down, otherwise my health wouldnโ€™t cope with the stressful routine. She was right about everything

I started practicing hot yoga and after six months was introduced to other styles. It was hard to keep my mind still and move my body with my breath. However, good things take time and the more I attended the classes the less stressed I was and I felt happy. I also began to know myself and understand that I didnโ€™t have to prove to anyone I was good enough because I was happy just being who I am

.

Yoga brought peace, forgiveness and self love to my heart. I wanted to help others to feel the same, so I became a Hatha yoga teacher. I enjoy facilitating yoga especially for those who never done it or think they donโ€™t belong this community

.

As a yoga student I like to practice ashtanga because it helps me to focus. I also spend a lot time on the weekend in the countryside walking through fields. For me this is another style of yoga, because I only focus on my breath

.

As a yoga teacher I like to help others to feel worthy by guiding them to this place of self-discovery, the yoga mat ๐Ÿ™
