“When I first started yoga, I knew nothing about it. My background was in fitness and sports. I just didn’t think I’d be interested in yoga at all
.
I had a client who was an Olympic athlete and he wanted to improve his flexibility so I started going to yoga classes for some ideas to help him. I tried a few styles but they didn’t resonate with me at all but there was one that really challenged me – Ashtanga
.
I enjoyed it as exercise and the postures were hard. But pretty soon I was surprised to find an internal aspect of the practice and this is what ended up really changing my life. I practice nearly every day and when I do, I feel grounded

Yoga helps me focus and it makes me happy. It brings me a sense of calm and relaxation, clear mind and peace that no other form of physical exercise or sport has ever brought me. Even through the times of trials and tribulations of life yoga has helped me. It’s now a tool for life and I just can’t live without it

I've learnt its not about trying to get to the last posture as quick as we can. We should experience and feel every single part of the journey all till that last posture

A good example is like when a dancer dances to a song, they don't try to dance to get to the last move of the song as quick as they can but experience every bit of music, dance to and feel it
.
So what actually makes a difference to me is understanding the relationship internally and externally in my body through this practice, how yoga has helped me everyday in life and this is what helps me to stay content 🙏" Tyrone .
