Meet London based yoga teacher Nora @thehealthphilosopher These are her words ❤

I was introduced to yoga at the age of 15 & ever since it has continued to be a part of my life.
Being so young meant that I was able to receive its teachings with an open mind & heart & apply its practice with ease
.
.
I'm so grateful that my school offered yoga, helping me deal with exam stress & laying the foundations for the path I would follow for the rest of my life. We put young people under such pressure to achieve, & the combination of exam stress & peer pressure, social media etc means their mental wellbeing should be a priority for all of us. I consider myself lucky that I went to a school that gave me, the gift of yoga
.
.
In a way, having been introduced to yoga so young, means I cannot imagine my life without it. It means this isn't your typical yoga saved my life story, because I guess there isn't a before & after tale like so many of the incredible people on Fierce Calm
.
.
Discovering Yoga so young meant that perhaps I avoided struggling with issues I might otherwise have faced , rather than helping me 'heal'. I cannot imagine my life without it & it has positively impacted who I am & what I do today
.
.
Today I am a 500 hrs RYT with a degree & health
& well-being blogger with a degree in Food Science & Nutrition (www.thehealthphilosopher.com)

The best part of teaching yoga is to see the smiles on people's faces at the end of class. To hear their stories, & help them even if it's just a small bit of advice. There is nothing quite like the feeling of helping others: it's the best reward you can receive for your work
.
.
Did yoga save my life? Perhaps, I'll never know: it certainly gave me the tools to survive adolescence. And in a way, it's saving my life every single day because of how it has helped me to become more aware of my inner emotions & thoughts while making me feel at ease on a physical level, finding a sense of clarity
& peace
.
.
Having been gifted yoga so young, it saved me before I needed saving. I'm dedicated to now sharing that gift with others .
Namaste
