"Yoga helped mebreathe when I was choking on my own self loathing"

Meet @flowwithfran sharing her #yogasavedmylife story with us. These are her words 💚

"All I wish as a yoga teacher is for my students to be able to tap into their true potential. To be able to set their mind free from fear of failing and ego and to be able to tap into that magical world of self exploration & acceptance . I am not gonna lie I sometimes find hard to try to express that in my classes, not because of lack of words but rather lack of authenticity. How do I teach & preach to others to love their own bodies when I myself wake up some days wanting anything but being in this skin, how can I express the love and gratitude towards the miracles that every BODY does when I sometime mistreat my own? . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And then again I find myself thinking of it and to be honest this is why I do it. And this is why I practice . Because yoga took a big chunk of my self hate away from me and replaced it with patience and perseverance 🙏 Because yoga made me breathe when I was choking in my own self hate . Because yoga taught me how to listen to my body and how to quiet my mind. It gives me constant lessons about not bringing my ego to the mat. And how to accept anything that comes with my practice . And I ainʼt perfect but really who is?! . We are all work in progress and yoga has helped me understand that deeply 🙏
