Meet Victoria @yogafitbelfast sharing her yogasavedmylife story with us. These are her words 💚

"I’ve had anxiety most of my teenage & adult life. I had medical tests & scans as a teenager after complaints of a shortness of breath & tightness in my chest, but it wasn’t until I was 24, when a holistic doctor told me it was stress borne anxiety, that I finally understood & began the journey to solving my issues" . "I remember attending sales meetings in work, trying to hide what felt like a tonne of weight on my chest. I tried to look calm & collected despite not being able to catch my breath for an hour. I was also incredibly lacking confidence & hated public speaking. I battled through more sales calls & meetings than I care to remember, with a trembling voice & beetroot red face . With the stress & pressure of it all, I partied hard to forget, which only escalated my issues . Around that time, I went to a few yoga classes on a whim. I didn’t realise until after a few weeks that my breathing became easier . Then, 3 days into a holiday and pissed at my then boyfriend, I found I needed to do yoga. I literally couldn’t do without it. It soon became my go-to way to handle any stress or issue that I faced in my life. My parents' divorce, relationship issues, work stress, whatever it was, I turned to yoga . . Yoga was my secret weapon to handle anything life could throw at me, and bit by bit, things got better . I trained as a yoga teacher in India last year & now take classes regularly. I love it. I can't believe how confident I’ve become! . Life has never been better & it's all thanks to the peacefulness, inner calm & confidence that yoga brings" . Victoria 🙏
