Meet Karla Huffman @karlaproduces sharing her story with us. These are her words ๐Ÿ’š

"Yoga for me is the place where I am vulnerable & empowered at the same time"

.

"Yoga has introduced me to new communities & new ways of learning and in the same breath has placed me into the darkest parts of my mind for me to surrender

.

Yoga became part of life 10 years ago & what I have realized since day 1 is that this practice is a JOURNEY. A mental journey where I must stay in my thoughts & feelings to understand the next steps

.

An accountability journey because when you don't show up to the practice daily it will remind you. And the asana journey, I'm surprised how my body always knows what it wants when I step on the mat

.

To be or not to be surprised on how I've found longevity in my yoga teacher career! 10 years ago I finished my yoga teacher training and wrote in my sequence book in bold letters:

BRING YOGA TO THE MASSES

Foolish me didnt think about accessibility, privilege, and how niche this practice TRULY is. All I had was ideas....

.

.

In the beginning, I only considered my perspective then humility kicked in and I realized a few things. Yoga is never the 1st option for many communities because of cost

.

Yoga classes arent always gentle to the new student AND Yoga teachers usually dont look like me.

I took a deep breathe, refreshed my perspective and THE UNIVERSE pushed me right into co-leading 200hr YTT . To date I've lead 8 trainings with the understanding that I'm bringing yoga to the masses in a different way .

All in all yoga keeps me in the middle of doing the work daily & I love and loath every minute of it. Yoga keeps me human
