Meet @magduschka_m sharing her #yogasavedmylife story with us. These are her words ๐Ÿ’š

"Yoga fixed what medicine could not"

. "Deep down I know that, without my practice, I would be still be battling sadness & disappointment whenever faced with the many challenges this life has presented me" .

Many years ago I suffered several personal tragedies, that I haven't shared with you here, & I hit rock bottom. I'd reached my end, when in fact, that was my beginning: the beginning of my yoga journey

.

Over the years since, yoga healed and made me a stronger , calmer & a far happier person. Yoga became my life in many ways

.

But, as well as emotionally & mentally, Yoga also saved my life physically

.

20 years ago I had an accident & shattered my elbow

.

The operation failed & paralysed about 80% range of motion in my arm.

After 2 more operations & 3 years of physiotherapy I was down to 45%.

The movement of my wrist was so poor that I was unable to even do up the button on my jeans

.

The advice from doctors was to learn to adapt my movements according to my arm & basically just learn to get on with it & live with it

.

During all those years I was effectively disabled and prevented from performing many movements and activities

.

You have no idea how much being able to support myself on my wrists and arms means to me as I do in my 2nd picture above! That was never supposed to happen according to the experts

.

When I started yoga I wasnโ€™t able to bring my hands in prayer position behind my back

.

But I never stopped trying.

Here I am today , and if you please have a look at my final photo, I'm half way there & I couldnโ€™t be more proud of myself and of that final picture ๐Ÿ’š

.

It looks simple but means everything to me! .

Yoga proved the doctors wrong and healed what the medical world couldn't

.

That final picture is far from the perfect asana , but for me itโ€™s more than perfect ๐Ÿ™
